SNG appoints new MD Property Services

SNG (Sovereign Network Group), one of the largest housing associations, has appointed Mike Smart as its Managing Director Property Services. The recently formed association, which provides 84,000 homes across the south of England including London, has ambitions to build 25,000 more homes over the next ten years.

Mr Smart brings a strong background of delivering change, innovation, improvement and growth across a range of industries and organisations. He has held a number of leadership roles, most recently as MD for Workplace and Compliance Services at Bellrock Property Services, where he grew and successfully commercially managed a large portfolio of contracts across a variety of different sectors. Prior to that he was Head of Asset Management and Transformation at Transport for Greater Manchester, where he supported the transformation agenda and led the development of asset management capability.

Nicole Sharp, Chief Customer Officer at SNG, welcomed the appointment saying: “Maintaining our customers’ homes to a good standard is rightly very important to them, which is reflected in its importance to us. Mike has fantastic knowledge in this area and will help us to continue offering a great customer experience.”
