SNG gains nearly £2.3million in income for London and East customers

SNG secured nearly £2.3million to boost the incomes of customers who live in our London and our East region. This is all thanks to the efforts of the Welfare Advice Team based in Wembley and Hertford who work hard to ensure customers can sustain their tenancies and support themselves.

Most of this money is in unclaimed benefits such as Universal Credit and Housing Benefit and in the 2023/24 financial year £750,000 went directly to customers themselves.

Dianne Challis, SNG’s Welfare Advice Team Leader for London and East, commented: “I’m proud of my team who go above beyond to help and support customers in sustaining their tenancies. The last year as been particularly challenging with cost of living and inflation and any income boost is welcome. Many people are unaware of what they’re entitled to and proceed to struggle when they can seek support.
