Equality, diversity and inclusion is a golden thread that runs through everything we do at SNG (Sovereign Network Group). It’s important that we have a diverse workforce that reflects our communities, and that we’re inclusive of and fair to everyone who lives in our homes. Our ambition is to be a force for change- striving to make the communities we work in more equal, diverse and inclusive.

One of the ways we’re turning our commitment to improved equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) into action is by investing in projects, activities and events that aim to improve EDI in our communities. This is why we are delighted to announce the launch of our first EDI microgrants programme, which aims to bring people and partners together with diverse experiences, identities, perspectives and backgrounds.

Grants from £500 up to £1,000 are available to support community initiatives, activities and events, that have a clear focus on improving EDI, as well as enhancing accessibility and empowering vulnerable or under-represented people. A wide range of activities will be considered for funding, for example creative and educational workshops, campaigns, networking or social activities, events, research and/or other types of EDI community initiatives.

We are also have a partnership with several other housing associations to deliver the Black History Month (BHM) 365 fund which offers up to £1000 grants to support events, activities and projects in our communities that celebrate black history - find out more about BHM 365 and apply for the latest round of funding.
