Social value at SNG

Our Social Value team works to measure and grow the positive social impact of our activities across SNG. We also support local organisations in our communities to do the same – because we’re committed to making a meaningful difference for our customers and the communities we serve. This social investment creates outcomes we can quantify in monetary terms, known as Social Value.

In 2024/25, SNG as an organisation generated £140.6million in social value: from supporting customers into employment and training; promoting financial and digital inclusion; providing debt advice and ‘cost of living’ support grants; to delivering environmental projects.

Match My Project (MMP)

MMP is an online platform that connects businesses and suppliers with community organisations to deliver local outcomes.

How it works:

  • Community organisations upload projects needing support - such as funding, materials, resources, volunteer time, digital devices, skills development, mentorship, and more.
  • Businesses or suppliers browse projects and offer support based on available resources.
  • Community organisations can accept or decline offers.

Benefits:

  • Better-resourced community partners
  • Efficient way for businesses and suppliers to meet Social Value and CSR commitments

Find out more and sign up to MMP here. Please note this platform is only available to businesses, suppliers or community groups working in SNG Communities.
