Graffiti is criminal damage and should be dealt with as a criminal offence by the police. Where the damage has been caused by an SNG customer, we’ll consider whether there has been a breach of tenancy/lease that needs to be addressed.
What you can do
- Report the graffiti to the police with as much information as possible. For example, did you witness the event? What was the date and time that it took place?
- If it’s on our land, please contact us to report it, including images and the location. If the graffiti is hate related or seriously offensive, we’ll prioritise its removal. Again, it's important you provide as much information as possible for us to investigate any potential breach of the tenancy/lease.
- If the graffiti isn’t on our land, please contact the Local Authority
for support.
