Canford Vale, Canford Magna

We're excited to be working with Taylor Wimpey and being part of creating a new community at Canford Vale in Canford Magna. This brand new development will be a mixture of Private sales, Affordable Rented and Shared Ownership homes, a range of 2-4 bedroomed houses and apartments. Construction is underway and will continue with new homes being delivered up until early 2027, and customers have already started moving into their new homes. 

Canford Vale is a phased development of 695 homes in total. SNG will be the registered provider for 133 homes on phase 1, which includes 81 for Affordable Rent and 52 for Shared Ownership. Some of the rented homes will have the Right to Shared Ownership.

 This development sits to the north of the BCP conurbation. This newly created community will adjoin the Canford Park Riverside SANG, a large public area of open space with a variety of walking routes and direct access to the River Stour.

All homes will have PV Panels and Electric Vehicle Charging. Currently the homes have Gas central heating, but this will transition to Air Source heating later in the phase.

The site will incorporate community facilities such as a Community Hub with shops, services, business space, hall & meeting rooms. The site will also include a SANG to provide protected green space for outdoor activities. The site connects to the Stour Valley Way which links to a wider walking route to the Canford SANG, a popular open space for families and dog walkers. The site will also include play facilities.

Canford Vale is located off the A341 Magna Road, north of Bearwood. Bearwood boasts plenty of local amenities and services.

Local Community

Bearwood has a thriving community with a community centre and social club hosting a range of activities.  The Bearwood Community Centre is around a 10 minute walk from the development and there are regular events and activities run from here Opens in new window.

Health and Wellbeing

On the corner of Knights Road and King John Avenue in Bearwood you'll find the Banks and Bearwood Medical Centre, only a 15 minute walk away. BBL Gym, with fitness facilities, is around a 25 minute walk.

You'll find the Canford Sports pitches nearby, and a little further afield there's an Everyone Active Leisure Centre in Poole, around 2 miles from the development. 

Shopping

Locally there's a Co-operative store close by, near the community centre.  To the south of Bearwood, you can find a Lidl supermarket on Turbary retail park along with other shopping options.

Transport

You can hop on the bus with ease from Magna Road. There are bus services running hourly connecting to Poole, Bournemouth & Verwood for wider amenities. The nearest train station is 5 miles away in Branksome.  And if you're planning to go further afield, Bournemouth Airport is just 3.9 miles away!

Education

Bearwood Primary and Nursery school and Oak Academy are nearby Primary School options, and there is a secondary school in Canford Heath, Magna Academy.
