SNG exchanges contracts with Feltham Construction to begin work on 33 social rent homes in Bracknell

We've exchanged contacts with Feltham Construction Limited to begin work on 33 social rent homes in Bracknell, Berkshire.

Demolition is due to begin this month at the Turnpike Road site, formerly part of the nearby 3M campus. The long‑disused site, which previously housed a social club and sports facilities, will be transformed into high‑quality, sustainable two, three and four‑bedroom homes for people on Bracknell Forest Council’s housing register.

All homes will meet our sector leading Homes and Place Standard which ensures they will be of the very highest quality and a great place to live. They’ll also have air source heat pumps, solar panels and EV chargers.

SNG took on the scheme in 2022 with funding for the project coming from Homes England’s Affordable Homes Programme 2021-26.

Jenny Grote, SNG Land and New Business Director – South, commented: “We’re delighted to reach this important milestone. It marks a great step forward in our partnership with Feltham Construction and enables us to bring much‑needed affordable housing to this site. All the homes will be sustainable and built to our sector‑leading Homes and Place Standard, ensuring high quality for generations to come.”

Guy Thomas, Construction Manager, Feltham Construction said: “We’re delighted to be working alongside SNG to deliver these high quality, sustainable homes in Bracknell. By fostering a collaborative working relationship from the outset, our teams have aligned around common goals, ensuring the project is delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standard. We are excited to get this scheme off the ground!”
