Plans submitted for 99 affordable homes at former Camrose Football Club site
Plans have been submitted to deliver 99 affordable homes at the former Camrose Football Club site in Basingstoke, bringing forward proposals shaped by extensive engagement with the local community, councillors and planning officers.
The plans have been submitted by SHP, a partnership between SNG and The Hill Group, and would deliver 99 homes, all of which would be affordable, including 54 homes for social rent and 45 homes for shared ownership. Shaped by local feedback, the proposals have been designed to fit naturally within the surrounding area, transforming a brownfield site into a high-quality new neighbourhood that is well connected to the existing community and helps meet local housing need. The development would also support the wider regeneration ambitions for Buckskin and South Ham, bringing new investment, high-quality homes and improved public spaces to the area.

"As well as creating new affordable homes, this development would play an important role in the wider regeneration of Buckskin and South Ham, helping to enhance the area and create opportunities for current and future residents. We believe these proposals represent a significant investment in the community and will bring long-term benefits to Basingstoke.”
The plans include a generous central village green, incorporating a children's play area and landscaped green space creating a focal point for the new community and providing opportunities for recreation, wellbeing and social interaction.
Following extensive engagement with residents, stakeholders and Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council, the proposals were refined to reflect feedback received, resulting in more public open space, additional parking and new one-bedroom maisonettes to help meet local housing need.
