SNG launches new architects’ framework
We've launched a new £24million architects' framework to support the delivery of high-quality affordable homes and sustainable communities.
The framework will bring together architectural expertise from a range of suppliers across the sector forming a robust foundation for our future development pipeline. It is structured across two distinct lots: Lot 1 – Masterplanning, focused on shaping cohesive, sustainable communities, and Lot 2 – Housing, centred on the design and delivery of high-quality homes.
We welcome applications from a diverse range of practices including smaller, innovative organisations to apply to join the framework.
The launch of the framework follows our recent announcement at UKREiiF that we are exploring sharing our sector-leading Homes and Place Standard with housing associations, planners, developers, consultants and local authorities. Co-designed with customers, the Homes and Place Standard and assessment tool help inform qualitative and performance outcomes for the home and place, balancing policy and regulatory compliance and informing customer and investment priorities.
Antje Saunders, SNG’s Design Director, commented: “We’re delighted to be launching this framework competition, which marks an important step in strengthening our partnerships with industry specialists and raising the standard of our developments. A good home provides the foundation for a better life and through this framework, we are setting a clear ambition not just for the homes we build, but for the communities we help shape. Our vision is to create thriving, sustainable communities that will support generations to come.”
