SNG maintains LGBTQ+ Housing Pledge Pioneer status until 2028
We’ve successfully maintained our LGBTQ+ Housing Pledge Pioneer status until 2028. This recognition reflects our continued commitment to making sure LGBTQ+ residents feel heard, respected, represented and supported in their homes and communities.
The LGBTQ+ Housing Pledge, recognises housing organisations that take meaningful action to involve LGBTQ+ residents in decision-making, increase visibility and provide relevant training for colleagues.
This achievement is the result of collaboration across SNG, with colleagues working together to listen to customer voices, turn feedback into action and create a more inclusive experience for the communities we serve. The assessment panel praised our thoughtful approach and highlighted the strong focus on understanding the impact of our work and responding to feedback from underrepresented communities.
The panel particularly recognised:
- The way LGBTQ+ resident feedback has helped shape services, policies and equality impact assessments.
- The visibility and support offered through our dedicated resources for LGBTQ+ customers, including opportunities for residents to get involved and share their experiences.
- Our commitment to learning and development through LGBTQ+ inclusion training and lived experience-led learning programmes for colleagues.
We’re really proud of this achievement and it reflects our shared commitment to building a culture where everyone belongs and where the diversity of our colleagues, customers and communities is valued and celebrated.
