SNG secures planning permission for 90 affordable homes in Bristol
We've secured planning permission for 90 affordable homes on a brownfield site on Bath Road in Brislington, Bristol.
The approved scheme will transform the site into a mix of three and four-bedroom houses and one and two-bedroom apartments. All homes will be delivered as affordable housing, with homes available for people on Bristol City Council’s housing register.
An initial planning application for the site was submitted but was turned down. In response, we revisited the proposals, carrying out pre-application discussions with Bristol City Council alongside a public consultation with the local community to shape a revised scheme which better responds to local context and feedback.
Following the planning approval, work will shortly begin on delivering a high-quality scheme. All properties will meet our sector leading Homes and Place Standard with the development including strong sustainability and environmental features such as heat pumps and solar panels. High-quality landscaping will be delivered alongside enhanced biodiversity, increasing the number of trees on site from five to 59. There will be 146 cycle parking spaces and 34 places for vehicles.
Road access to the scheme will be from Tramway Road and there will be improved connectivity through the site to connect the new homes with neighbouring areas.
