SNG takes handover of final 84 affordable homes in latest phase at Hounsome Fields in Basingstoke
We’ve taken handover of the final 84 affordable homes from Vistry in Phase B1B at the Hounsome Fields development in Basingstoke, bringing the total number of homes delivered to SNG within the phase to 95.
Of these homes, 62 will be available for social rent to people on Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council's housing register, while the remaining 33 will be offered through Shared Ownership. The homes include a mix of one and two-bedroom apartments, alongside two, three and four-bedroom houses.
Located off Winchester Road on the southern edge of Basingstoke, Hounsome Fields is a major mixed-tenure development where Vistry is delivering around 750 homes across seven phases. The scheme brings together open market and affordable housing, alongside significant investment in community infrastructure, education provision and public amenities, helping to create a sustainable new neighbourhood for residents.
Community infrastructure continues to progress across the site, with plans for a community building, allotments and other facilities currently moving through the planning process. These handovers represent one of the final major residential milestones at Hounsome Fields, with the remaining work due to be completed over the coming months as the development nears completion.
