Still time to apply for SNG’s In Bloom competition

There’s still time for budding gardeners and gardening groups across London and southern England to showcase their horticultural spaces and green fingered creativity by entering our annual In Bloom customer gardening competition.

This year’s In Bloom is bigger than ever before, as SNG teams up with the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) and award-winning garden designer, The Beardy Gardener, to provide expert advice for applicants and to sit on the judging panel.

To support the competition, we've also launched the In Bloom Seed Fund which is offering small grants to help customers get started with gardening. The fund aims to remove financial barriers and empower SNG customers to take pride in their homes and outdoor spaces. It can be used to help with seeds, tools, planters, and more. Whether growing flowers, veggies, or creating a wildlife-friendly space, this fund can help customers get set up with gardening without worry and financial stress.

Categories for In Bloom this year include Thriving Community GardenSmall Garden InnovatorSustainable Garden Innovator and Home Garden in Bloom. Winners will be recognised with gift vouchers and a professional photo shoot of their garden.

Marta Rios, SNG’s Community Investment and Partnerships Manager, commented: “Our In Bloom competition demonstrates our belief that everyone should have the opportunity to enjoy the benefits of gardening and take pride in their outdoor space. We hope this initiative will continue to grow each year, strengthening community connections, building pride in our neighbourhoods, and creating lasting positive change through shared green spaces.”
