We know that holidays can be challenging for some families, especially those on lower incomes. This fund helps bridge the holiday experience gap for children who may otherwise miss out. Our aim is to support projects that give young people aged 5 to 16, the chance to:
- Have fun through accessible, and free activities
- Socialise, build their confidence, and stay healthy
- Stay active and access support for their mental wellbeing
- Take part in educational and development opportunities
What kinds of activities are supported?
We’re looking for projects that bring joy, creativity, and learning into the lives of young people. These might include the following:
- Sports and recreation activities
- Creative workshops
- Day activities and local recreational trips
- Community events and celebrations that bring the community together
- Educational and developmental activities e.g. healthy eating/food workshops/family learning sessions.
Funding can cover the following: equipment relating to the activities, staff or volunteer costs, venue hire, transport, as well as refreshments and healthy food provision.
Activities must take place in a community we work in an SNG Community and be open to or promoted among SNG customers, especially those from low-income households or families eligible for free school meals.
