Save on everyday essentials with Housing Perks.
We’ve partnered with Housing Perks, a free app that gives you discounts and cashback at over 100 major retailers including ASDA, Sainsbury’s, Morrisons, Primark, Argos and more.
By using the app, you’ll be able to save on average 5% on your groceries, clothing, fuel, and other essentials – at no extra cost. Plus, you can also put those savings towards your rent or service charges.
When you download the app and sign up using the reference number you use to pay your rent or service charge, you’re ready to start saving!
You can save on average 5% by paying with vouchers, cashback and discount codes you get through the app. You can also choose to send your savings straight to your rent or service charge account.
Up to 10 people can use the same reference number, so everyone living in your home – plus friends and family – can benefit.
If you turn on rent contributions, you pay full price but the saving goes towards your rent or service charge account.
If you opt for discounts when you buy a voucher, the discount is automatically applied - so it will cost less.
For example, if you buy a £20 voucher which had a 5% offer:
- With rent contribution turned on, this would cost you £20, with £1 going towards your rent or service charge account.
- With rent contribution turned off, this would cost you £19.
If you turn on ‘rent contributions’ in the app, the savings you make will be added to your rent or service charge account.
It’s easy to set up and you’re always in control.
- Open the Housing Perks app and go to the Rent section in the menu at the bottom of your screen.
- Turn on Rent Contributions.
- Each time you buy a voucher, the saving will go towards your ‘Next Rent Contribution’
- Rent Contributions are made every Friday and can take up to 10 business days to appear in your rent or service charge account.
Please note: This does not trigger a change to the amount you pay by direct debit or any other payment method.
Will my regular rent/service charge payment change if I have rent contributions turned on?
The savings you make through Housing Perks, are applied to your rent or service charge account (if opted in for); however, this does not automatically trigger a change to the amount you pay by direct debit or any other payment method.
If you feel that you’ve already made significant savings through Housing Perks and would like your payments to be reviewed, you can request this by contacting your Customer Accounts Officer.
