SNG awards funding to inclusive community projects through ConnectED Communities Fund

We’ve awarded funding to 14 community projects through our ConnectED Communities Fund, supporting initiatives that promote equality, diversity and inclusion in the communities across London and Southern England where we manage homes.

The ConnectED Communities Fund supports community organisations that work with people with diverse ethnic backgrounds, ages, genders, sexualities and/or abilities, helping to bring communities together and reduce inequality. Successful applicants demonstrated that they are taking action by driving projects which champion fairness and equality, celebrate diversity, and create places where everyone feels they truly belong.

This fund gave us the chance to try new ways of awarding grants, helping ensure money goes to the groups best placed to support our customers.  The fund recieved a high number of applications which was co-created with customers who helped shape funds priorities and formed part of the awarding panel.

Deborah Williams, SNG’s Community Investment and Partnerships Manager, commented: “This year’s ConnectED Communities Fund highlights the strength and creativity of local organisations across SNG communities, creating inclusive, safe spaces where people can thrive. We’re pleased to see customers at the heart of awarding the fund, supporting projects that champion fairness, celebrate diversity, and foster a true sense of belonging. We look forward to the positive impact these initiatives will make.”
