SNG launches grants for community projects focusing on equality diversity and inclusion (EDI)
SNG is offering grants of up to £1,000 for projects and initiatives based across the South of England which focus on improving equality, diversity and inclusion. It’s our first EDI community microgrants programme with an aim to bring together people and partners who have diverse identities, perspectives and backgrounds.
The microgrants will support community initiatives, activities and events, which have a clear focus on making communities more equal, diverse and inclusive, as well as enhancing accessibility and empowering vulnerable or under-represented people.
A wide range of activities will be considered for funding, such as creative and educational workshops, campaigns, networking or social activities, events, research and other types of EDI community initiatives.
We already work in partnership with several other housing associations to deliver the Black History Month (BHM) 365 fund which offers grants of up to £1,000 to support events, activities and projects that celebrate black history.
Jamie Ratcliff, SNG Chief Communities and Sustainability Officer, commented: “We work in very diverse communities across the South of England and we know there are some fantastic initiatives which are championing equality, diversity and inclusion. We want to do all we can to support and empower them through our EDI microgrants and would urge eligible organisations to apply.”
