Customers in Lords Hill, Southampton told us they wanted more opportunities for young people, better mental health and wellbeing support, and safe places where young people could take part in positive activities and connect with trusted adults. Customers also wanted more support for families, help with the cost of living, and action to tackle anti-social behaviour.
We did:
We worked with local partners to provide services and activities that respond directly to these priorities.
Together with Youth Options, we have delivered youth work, mentoring, holiday activities and youth sessions across Lords Hill. We also partnered with Oasis Hub to support young people who are not currently engaging in education, helping them reconnect with learning and access future opportunities.
Working alongside Youth Options, Lordshill Youth Project and Oasis Hub, we secured funding to provide more positive activities for young people and help reduce anti-social behaviour in SNG communities. To support families, we partnered with Lordshill Church and Southampton City Farm to deliver parent and toddler sessions. These provide opportunities for families to build local support networks and access advice and services when needed.
