Customer thematic groups and networks
Local customer groups are a great way to bring people together, give customers a voice, and make positive changes in their neighbourhoods.
If you have ideas for improving your area, would like to organise a local activity or event, or simply want to help build a stronger community, we'd love to hear from you.
We can support you in setting up a new residents’ group or helping an existing one get started again. Whether you need help bringing people together, creating a formal residents' association, or exploring funding opportunities, we're here to help every step of the way.

Why get involved?
Build real skills - Panel members get training in things like reading performance data and holding organisations to account - skills that don't stay in the housing world.
Feel the difference - Getting involved regularly gives people a real confidence boost and a genuine sense of purpose, especially if you're new to the area or spend a lot of time at home.
Meet people - From local coffee mornings to national panel meetings, every route in is a chance to meet neighbours and other customers from right across our communities. If you're feeling isolated, this is one of the easiest ways to change that.
Open doors -Chair and Vice Chair roles are paid, with expenses covered. Panel experience has led members into further community and public roles, and everyone involved gets access to training and development opportunities - a genuine stepping stone, whatever comes next.
Does it actually change anything?
Yes. Here's proof, not just a promise.
Customer feedback has already reshaped how we handle repairs contracts, report on complaints, how clearly we communicate rent change, as well as shaping new policies and strategies.
We track what you tell us and what we did about it - no cherry-picking.
See what's changed: You said, we didMeet our customer panels
Our customer-led panels help influence decisions, review performance and improve services, right up to board level. Led by a customer Chair, our Customer Influence Panel & Scrutiny Panel both meet 4–6 times a year, in person and online.
- Customer Influence Panel
A customer-led group that works with us to review performance, influence plans and policies, and make sure customers' views are represented in key decisions.
- Scrutiny Panel
A customer-led team that carries out detailed reviews of services and makes recommendations for improvement based on evidence and customer experiences.
Hear directly from our current Chairs about what the role actually involves, see who sits on each panel.

Jackie Dunn - Meet the Chair
0:00 Jackie Dunn - I'm from the New Forest in Hampshire and I'm the chair of the Customer Influence Panel.
0:06 I'm really excited. I'm looking forward to the challenges that lie ahead.
0:10 My past experience: I've chaired many roles, have been in the social housing sector.
0:15 I've also been sat on the Board of governance and I just thought this is really exciting challenge ahead.
0:22 I formed a new panel previously and took that forward when scrutiny was first introduced and I feel like I've got the skills to make it happen and make it work and improve services for residents.
0:37 I'm hoping to achieve a really strong, robust panel that challenges in a constructive way and that we see ultimately, at the end, all services improve to the benefit of residents and also to the organisation.
